A total of 28 majors in UGM gained Excellent Accreditation from the National Accreditation Body for Higher Education (BAN-PT). This accomplishment makes UGM a university in Indonesia that obtained an Excellent Accreditation predicate up until now.
“There are 28 study programs that attained Excellent Accreditation from BAN-PT, and by far, UGM is the only university that managed to secure such accreditation achievement with the highest amount of programs,” said the Head of Quality Assurance Office, Prof. Indra Wijaya Kusuma (Thursday, 11/6).
Prof. Indra explained that the Excellent Accreditation was achieved after complying with BAN-PT Regulation No.1 of 2020, concerning the Accreditation Mechanism for accreditations conducted by BAN-PT. The results of accreditation issued are Excellent, Very Good, and Good. As for the accreditation process, it can be done in three ways. First, by reaccrediting a new form with 9 criteria. Second, by submitting additional forms using the Supplement Conversion Instrument (ISK). Third, by using international accreditation recognized by the Ministry of Education. (Source: Ugm.ac.id)
Previously, the Master of Forestry Science Program, Faculty of Forestry Universitas Gadjah Mada, was re-accredited and succeeded in receiving rank A accreditation in April 2020. In the following month, specifically in June 2020, 28 study programs in UGM achieved Excellent Accreditation from BAN-PT. One of the programs includes the Master of Forestry Science.
The Master of Forestry Science Program also did not forget to express its gratitude towards the Dean of Faculty, all Vice Deans, Pokja Borang Akreditasi BAN-PT PS MIK Team, PS MIK Teaching Staff, Faculty of Forestry UGM Education Staff, students, as well as all involved parties who have collaborated and supported throughout the whole BAN-PT accreditation process, starting from the preparation of the documents until the results announcement.
