Silviculture : Rehabilitation for Ecosystem Services and Climate Change Mitigation
Objectives
- To provide understanding on tropical forest managements in Indonesia
- To provide understanding on the role of silviculture in land rehabilitation and ecosystem restoration
- To provide understanding, evaluation and analysis on the role of silviculture to reduce the impact of climate change in Tropical area.
- To provide understanding, evaluation, and analysis on successful technique of silviculture in restoration and rehabilitation of various ecosystems.
- To provide understanding and evaluation on the role of intensive silviculture in tropical forest

- Ecology, disturbance, and regenetation potential of tropical forests
- Sociopolitical and cultural aspects of restoration
- Effective practices and strategies for restoration on Critical land, Volcanic tropical montane

Course Fee and Scholarship
All participants are expected to pay the tuition fee, meals and accommodation (shared) of 450 USD. The organizer will provide 15 – 20 partial scholarship covering tuition fee, meals and (shared) accommodation for participants from collaborating universities.
Course Schedule
This is a 11-day course scheduled from July 30 to August 9, 2018. Application Deadline is June 16,2018
